Tool I made to remove panel skins
This is a tool I made to remove panel skins, so that the rust hideing under the panel could be removed and then reassembled. Eastwood company sells one for about $80 but I am to cheap to want to spend that kind of money. I used 1" angle welded to make a C channel with a pipe for a handle. I used a cold chisel and a ground screw driver as the other part to work the panel open. I drilled a series of holes at different locations to get the best prying angle at the fold. This was a spare trunk lid that I successfully pryed the skin off exposing all the rust. There was no visable rust before i began. It was all hidden away underneath.
