The inner wheelhouses were tacked on first with a couple of welds. We did not attached it to the brace that supports the hoop that the quarters and top attach to. This will done when the quarters are put on. Here you can see the panel that goes in front of the gas tank that we replaced. The post you see in the corner is holding the top hoop in position. The trunk brace is still floating free. Here is a shot of the passenger side trunk floor that is tacked on. Both sides of the trunk were done at same time to make sure the trunk was square and that the gas tank fit. We also put on the quarters and tail light panel to check for fit. Here you can see the drivers side and rear trunk brace used only in the convertibles. This is the brace we had to cut 5/8" out of the center. This picture shows the corner. We had to bend and trim the inside corner of the floor pieces because the they do not fit convertibles without alterations for the rear brace. |
